To get an iPhone now just raid the stock room at AT&T stores

We just got this message from someone who works for AT&T. It was sent by upper-management to stores:

“Just an FYI that as of today, the only iPhones left to sell are those in your inventory rooms in store. There will no longer be any availability online or via direct fulfillment from either Att.com or Apple.com as I understand.

That means that you should leverage this and sell those you have ASAP as you are the ONLY place someone can buy an iPhone at right now!”

Not something we didn’t really know, but it looks like there will no stock of any iPhones until the new one is released. We’d bet it’s coming sooner than later, as in next week. Could Apple really afford to release it at the end of the month with no stock left at all now?

Just another iPhone rumor

By now you’ve obviously seen all the rumors about Apple’s 3G iPhone. If you’re hip on your news, you’ll have noticed that everyone is reporting the new 3G iPhone to be thicker than the first generation. I’m not making this statement based on any information I have, but I ask, do you really think that Steve Jobs will release a new iPhone a year later that will be thicker than the original? Yes, it will have 3G and GPS, and possibly a larger battery, but after one whole year, do you really honestly believe the phone will be thicker than the original? I don’t know about you, but I’ve seen some pretty damn small phones that have 3G radios in them. Of course, my feelings could totally turn out to be wrong and Mr. Jobs will use his reality distortion field to make it seem like a thicker iPhone is better than a thinner one, but I don’t believe I am. Anyone with me?

Griffin ClearBoost iPhone Antenna-boosting Case

Are you an iPhone owner that lives or works in an area that has weak AT&T GSM coverage? I’ve had some issues at Gadgeteer HQ (my basement office) as well as my desk at my day job. Seeing a ‘no service’ notice at the top of my iPhone’s screen can be quite annoying, so I was very curious when the folks at Griffin Technology asked if I would like to review their ClearBoost Antenna-boosting case.

Griffin iPhone Wave Case

Cases for iPhones are a dime a dozen in as much as they are all pretty much alike in design and function. I don’t envy companies that sell these products as it has to be very difficult to come up with ideas to make their offerings unique enough for consumers to take a second look and ultimately make a purchase. Today I want to show you the Wave case from Griffin Technology. Let’s see if it is different enough to catch your eye…

Palm OS emulator is coming to iPhone and iPod touch

In a move of unsurprising proportions, StyleTap announced today that it will be bringing its Palm OS emulator to the iPhone and iPod touch… officially. This basically means that every one of those precious Palm apps you couldn’t live without will now be easily accessible via Apple’s devices, thus seriously threatening the argument for keeping your Treo 600. Gregory Sokoloff, CEO of the company, said that the response to a video posted in February of a demo version of the software convinced them to take the plunge. Palm, now might be a good time to stun us with your new OS.

TurboGrafx-16 emulation in the iPhone – Excellent Stuff

Finally, the ultimate dream of all iPhone owners has come to pass: TurboGrafx-16 emulation. Thanks once again to the massive talents at ZodTTD, Apple’s phone has gotten another piece of the emulator puzzle in the form of Temper4iphone, a fully functioning recreation of everyone’s favorite under-performing game console. The app can play both TurboGrafx and PC-Engine games, as well as CD-based ROMs. Right now the software is only available to beta testers (and donation-makers), though it’s expected to hit wide release soon. Check the video after the break and see for yourself.

Senuti copies your music from your Iphone or Ipod to your mac.

Mac only: The newest beta release of previously mentioned Senuti—a utility that copies music from your iPod to your computer—now supports the iPhone and iPod touch. Just install Senuti on your Mac, hook up your iPhone or iPod touch, and the Senuti beta will list all the songs on the device and place a blue dot next to songs that already exist in your iTunes library. Select the songs you want and press the Transfer button to copy them to your Mac. The touch-friendly Senuti version is a beta, but it worked like a charm on the one iPhone I tested it on. Senuti is a free download for Mac only; be sure to hit the beta link lower on the homepage for iPhone and iPod touch support. Thanks, smackswell!
