iPhone 2.2 beta 2

Look, we do not want to enter this time. Apple seeded new firmware for developers, it is not something that we all want to do at the end of history. Well, almost end of history. Version 2.2 beta 2 of the iPhone firmware might not let you copy and paste, type an e-mail in landscape mode, receiving a picture or video via MMS or receive notifications to push third applications … But you can look around in Google Maps street view now! Woo hoo! How useful functionality – we are so pleased to Cupertino is so focused on it as opposed to, say, the implementation of a system that will actually make a little third-party applications useful. Bravo guys. Giving iPhone users the ability to look around buildings and trees from random points in the country is far more important than the rest of the features we expect. Well, at least there are walking and public transport directions included in this release. Super, can not wait.

Apple really needs to fix the terrible user experience using MMS on the iPhone. I make the case here: http://blog.mcmanus-family.com/2008/09/the-case-for-mms-on-the-iphone.html
